Mim J. Landry is the Director of Medical and Science Communication
at Danya International. Mr. Landry has 20 years experience
in behavioral health with expertise in addiction treatment
and prevention, drugs of abuse, and mental health treatment.
He has written over 20 books, medical education curricula,
and monographs, including his book Understanding Drugs
of Abuse: The Processes of Addiction, Treatment, and Recovery.
He has also written 26 journal articles and 25 book or monograph
chapters. For the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT),
Mr. Landry has written or co-authored several online courses
for addiction professionals, located at DanyaLearningCenter.org,
addressing such topics as child welfare, welfare reform, hepatitis
C, and understanding research. Mr. Landry was an extensive
contributor to the Treatment Improvement Protocols series.
For the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Mr. Landry
conceptualized, researched, and wrote Methadone Maintenance
Treatment: Translating Research Into Policy. For the Substance
Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Office of
Applied Studies, Mr. Landry conceptualized, researched, and
wrote Overview of Addiction Treatment Effectiveness.
